The first concern of an IAH therapist is a duty of care to their client - it is therefore no different to other therapeutic approaches with regards to ethical guidelines and standards. Confidentiality features highly within these guidelines an we comply with the 1998 Data Protection Act which specifically relates to information of a sensitive nature with particular regard to mental or sexual health. Additionally, laws governing disclosure; any data gathered under hypnosis is not admissible evidence in court.
