Analytical Hypnotherapy - Hypnoanalysis

Analytical hypnosis in Hampshire

When I talk about Analytical therapy I don’t mean that we sit down and analyse your problem or your past, and then tell you a) what your problem is or b) how to solve it like a traditional Psychoanalyst.  What I do mean is through the process of your growing self awareness, and over the duration of the therapy, your own natural analysis of why you are the way you are becomes increasingly clear. This means that you experience complete and lasting relief because those bottled up emotions will have floated to the surface during Hypnonalysis and you’ll have had your ‘moment of surprising and liberating enlightenment’. Pure Hypnoanalysis supports and aids deep relaxation where experiences and emotions can be explored using adult feelings. Analysis, enables you to apply your ‘mature’ emotions to finally lay those old anxieties; to rest forever.

Hypnoanalysis in Hampshire

Pure Hypnoanalysis addresses more complex and deeper rooted problems  such as:  Anxiety, Panic attacks, depression and some phobias. Anxiety  in our terms is ‘free floating‘, by this I mean that it is inside us but outside our control. You may have heard of the psychologist Carl Jung who aptly defined it as ‘fear spread thinly‘, and that’s just what it feels like - a churning fearful feeling working away inside a person for no apparent reason.

Why do we get these symptoms: we humans are good at forgetting and covering up events and emotions we find too difficult, or too painful to deal with. This is more likely to happen when we‘re young because our intellectual and emotional development is immature and ill equipped to handle significant trauma. So when we experience unpleasant events as children, the emotion can become trapped inside us - not expressed. Sometimes we remember them and sometimes we don’t.

Why hypnoanalysis works

The reason why analytical hypnotherapy is more suitable for these conditions is because they’re stress related and symptomatic of ‘bottled up’ or repressed emotions. A friend of mine used an analogy of shaking up a bottle of fizzy drink to explain the effect of ‘bottled up’ emotions. If the energy; or ‘bubbles’ have nowhere to go what happens to them? The bottle explodes.  In the same way, your nervous system doesn't’t differentiate between a physical threat to your body and a mental threat to your ego; what’s interesting is that the mind learns that to get the relief it needs it can flood your body with emotion, and fear - a panic attack, or turn the energy in on yourself; depression! So you can see how bottled up emotions seek expression and find it in panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

This treatment doesn’t aim to manage or mask symptoms with medicinal aids or faddy diets. Neither does it take two to three years, as do more traditional therapies, but you can expect the same results in between eight to ten weeks. I must say though - hypnosis is no replacement for the doctors surgery - think of it as an enhancement.

Weight control can be treated with both types of Hypnotherapy, depending on the individual needs, while quitting smoking  is ideally treated with suggestion hypnosis alone..
